Tyutyayev looks pretty impressive out there. I keep hearing he's one to watch.

I was just looking back at my preview and he was the last name I mentioned. Horcoff made a point to mention him as a player to watch. Chase and he playing well together. Veleno’s shot looks heavy/nice. Almost scored twice from just inside the blue line. Good stuff

Add another one for him and one for Veleno. Three points for Tyutyayev.

Tyutyayev looked really good, but was shocked to read that he’s only 146 pounds. I hope he’s able to bulk up. Time to call Gary Roberts.

He really plays hard. For sure some bulk would be good. Love how fearless he is

I was at the game tonight. Veleno and Tyutyayev were the best players on the ice tonight for the Wings. It looks like Yzerman may have mined a late round gem in the young Russian.

I did read that 146 was incorrect and the team he played for last year had him listed at 170. Hope the 170 is correct lol

That sounds a little more realistic to me. Hard for me to believe Yzerman would take a flyer on a 146 lb kid, even with a 7th rounder. I hope the 170 is correct too. LOL. The kid looks fantastic.

If Tyutyayev plays with the Griffins this year it'll be interesting to see how he handles it.

His statistical profile to this point is not very impressive to say the least (32 points in 43 games in the Belarusian Extraliga is the equivalent of like a 15-point pace in the NHL), plus he's small and already 21 (wasn't drafted until he was 19). So you'd have to say the odds are pretty heavily stacked against him.

Thought the game was magical. Scared the living crap out of my in the 3d, for sure. Bratt looked stellar until about 1/2-way through the 2d, then the wheels kinda fell off. McIsaac looked good, Pearson was great AND he was ready to throw hands. Newpower was impressive as well. Nothing on the D-line blew the doors off the bus, but the PK was solid. Good-looking 1st passes.

(Insert Major Payne's voice here) "TOOOOT TOOT. Chyugga chyugga, TOOOOOT TOOT". Tyut is going to be good, guys. Small in stature, but he showed he can at least deal with larger players. Now, agree that he needs to bulk up, but tell Dougie Gilmour or Dino Ciccarelli that.....He needs to work, but there are ear-marks of a player who has the potential to exceed expectations. Veleno, to me planted his flag in the ground; "I'm here to chew bubble-gum n kick ***. And there ain't no bubble-gum!". Bergy was ok as well. He'll take some time, but he's someone to watch. Raymond: Some great passes and a laser shot or 2. VERY confident in what he'll bring to the AHL game, but think we won't see him in the NHL until the end of the season for his 9-game audition; he needs to adjust to the NA game. Would've like to have seen Cossa after it looked like Bratt was injured (which may be why the wheels kinda fell off....I dunno). That Brubacher kid threw some *** around as well. Pearson's personality is really easy-going, not surprised to see him in the NHL this year, and may shock some doubters.....Good distributor, good vision of the ice and anticipated plays well.

All-in-all, happy to watch these kids. This solidified that there is a growing lava-dome in the AHL for the Wings......and the Vulcanic eruption felt in HockeyTown is gonna be AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
